…it’s always such a privilege to work on a commission involving reusing something very precious. I’m not necessarily talking about the metal or even sparkling diamonds here, more the memories attached to something that once belonged to or was given by a love one.
So many memories are in these two rings. The gold came from Monica’s husband’s engagement ring, an 18th present from Monica & Diana’s father, a gold ring presented to her by her work colleague & Dianas engagement ring, all refined together, two sisters joined in so many ways.
Monica decided on a wide band with 2 outer skinny bands in yellow gold – the white gold hearts were made from pieces of white gold taken from a band she had – a piece that holds so many precious memories.
Diana decided on a slightly slimmer band – I held back a little of the 18ct band that the diamond was removed from to form the heart – the diamond is just about snuggling up to the heart!
& with the remaining piece of gold…
Monica’s delicate gold Sweetheart dangle earrings with safety wires – a lovely way to use a final piece of gold!
(Almost!) 100% recycled & I think, two very happy ladies indeed
